Praia da Luz, just 6km from Lagos, is a fabulous example of traditional Algarve charm. The white-washed houses of the old fishing village gleam in the sunshine, set against a backdrop of impressive red and ochre cliffs. The gently shelving beach and sparkling blue waters in the sheltered cove beckon you down to take a refreshing swim.
